Gove Yacht Club Inc.
We are a not for profit club in a remote area where transport of goods is expensive, as is our current lease. We provide what facilities we can, whilst striving to continually improve the amenity of the club for all members.
If you live in town, and would like to frequent the club’s premises on more than 3 occasions (sign in is necessary) —than please fill in a Social Membership form. Full memberships are also available - enquire at the club.
If you are a cruiser, upon arrival please call in to the Yacht Club office for information additional to this page. Cruisers are entitled to a temporary membership for 2 weeks (currently $10). If you wish to use the Amenities block, we will need a deposit for the key. Anything else—just ask our friendly staff!
The following is a list of our current facilities and services.
GYC Facilities
INSIDE: Bar, EFTPOS, ATM, music nights, pool table, big screen TV, member’s draw & raffles during Happy hour.
Services: provision of Ice ($3 per bag), Liquor take-away.
Sand Bar—an air-conditioned room that can be used for dining or small functions. Coffee & tea area.
Office area with a corridor housing mail pigeon-boxes, notice-board and information pamphlets. Regular Weather forecasts and Tide tables are posted here and available to members, as are the Minutes of meetings. Access is from the side of the building.
Services available: Fax, Mail, Photocopying, and arrange for your LPG gas refill here.
OUTSIDE: Excellent view of the harbour while you drink or dine.
BBQ’s: gas BBQ’s are available (pay for), as well as free fire BBQ’s.
